What is an intimate session?

Intimate sessions are for women only to document and celebrate the beauty of their bodies in this moment of life. Intimate sessions are elegant and poses are tastefully done to highlight your beautiful features. These sessions are perfect for capturing the beauty of the female body through the many stages of life: maternity, motherhood, bridal, and on. Milwaukee Portrait Photography sessions are offered year-round or seasonally for limited edition sessions (see more details below) in our Caledonia studio with intimate wear provided for your session. 

Planning your wardrobe for your Milwaukee Portrait Photography Session

Part of the Rachel Harmeling Photography process includes a pre-session planning call where we discuss the many beautiful details to help you prepare. Some of the things we will discuss are wardrobe, hairstyling, location for your session (whether that’s an in-studio session, outdoor session, or in-home session), and planning for any wall art or heirloom albums for your home. As a Milwaukee Portrait Photographer, I offer my clients access to my seasonally curated wardrobe for Mamas and babies. Many of my clients choose to take advantage of my client closet for a seamless experience.

With Valentines Day quickly approaching, this is the perfect time to schedule your Milwaukee Portrait Photography Intimate session. Surprise your significant other, or treat yourself. I’m a first-time Mama to this little fella, named Weston (and now second time Mama to our second son, Wyatt)). I love documenting our journey and the motherhood journey of others. It brings my heart SO MUCH joy!
I like to capture it all; warm snuggles, chunky baby leg rolls, big laughs, and also the tears. Because raising little ones isn’t always rainbows and sunshine. I capture the beautiful realness and rawness of the moment. Trust me, Mama you’re going to miss all of this someday. 

I offer beautifully styled Milwaukee newborn photography and portrait photography sessions year-round both outdoors – serving Humboldt County, CA and the greater Milwaukee area, in the comforts of your home or in the hospital (for fresh 48-hour newborn sessions), and in my Eureka, CA or Milwaukee studios.
