Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book my newborn session?
I recommend you schedule your newborn session as far in advance as you can! Typically it’s best to do it before your little one arrives (because it gets quite chaotic afterward)! The best time to book is while you’re still about 25-30 weeks pregnant (or when you book your maternity session) so that we can reserve your date!
How do I book a date for my newborn session if my baby isn't born yet?
Because babies are not always born “on time” I ask that you book your session on your due date to give us an approximated timeline to be able to reserve your session. After your little bundle of joy is born, we will connect and set an exact date for your session.
Do I need to buy outfits for my baby to wear for their Newborn session?
I offer a beautifully curated selection of tiny outfits specially made and crafted for newborn babies. Typically any outfits you find online, or in stores that advertise as being “newborn” size are MUCH too big for these tiny little humans. This is why I provide perfectly sized newborn outfits, wraps, headbands, bonnets, caps, and accessories that are perfect for Newborn portraits. I also offer wardrobe options for Mom in my seasonally curated Client Wardrobe. Don’t worry, you will get to hand-pick each item during the consultation so we are sure to have something that you will love for your Milwaukee Newborn session!
Do you have a Payment Plan?
Yes, I do offer payment plans for all of my portrait sessions upon request.
How old should my baby be for a newborn session?
Newborn sessions are best done within the first 5-14 days (2 weeks) after birth for those adorable sleepy photos! But life happens, so if your baby is a little older that is ok — we can still get some adorable newborn photos! Trust me, you don’t want to miss out on capturing those initial moments!
How long is a newborn session?
Because sometimes little ones aren’t always on the schedule we’d like them to be, my newborn sessions are scheduled for up to 4-hours.
Just in case we have a blowout, or babe needs to eat and be rocked back to sleep. However, not all newborn sessions require the full 4 hours; sometimes they’re shorter (anywhere from 2-4 hours)!
Are family portraits included in a Newborn session?
Yes! Family portraits are included in all of my Redding CA Newborn Photography Sessions in addition to individual photos of your new bundle of joy! I also try to include portraits of Mom and baby, Dad and baby, and photos with the siblings in all of my Redding CA Newborn Photography sessions.
What is included in the investment?
