Burlington Newborn Photographer
As a Burlington Newborn Photographer, I love getting that call when baby has FINALLY arrived! It is such an honor to be one of the very first people to get a call or text that a sweet new life has just joined the world! After all, we are celebrating a birthday! I cannot express the joy I feel being able to capture those first sweet moments for my Burlington Newborns when it seems time has stopped, and everything is calm and right in the world. It is simply beautiful.
What to Expect | Fresh 48-hour Hospital Burlington Newborn Photography
Leading up to the big day, I give my clients my Newborn session prep guide that lays out everything they can expect from their Fresh 48-hour Hospital Session. I also send them a copy of my Hospital Bag checklist that lists everything you need to ensure your session runs smoothly.

As the name implies, Fresh 48-hour Hosptial Portrait sessions typically happen within the first 24 (ideally) to 48 hours after your baby has been born. This is why I get to be one of the lucky first few people to know when your newborn has been born.
What to wear for your Fresh 48-hour Hospital Burlington Newborn Photography Session
One of the main reasons why I love doing Fresh 48-hour Burlington Newborn sessions is because of the very serene and relaxed nature of these portrait sessions. They are very different when compared to traditional Newborn Portraits. There isn’t as much pressure during these sessions for mom and dad to feel the need to dress up too much. In fact, for these sessions I recommend mom wears either her hospital gown or a robe with your newborn baby wearing a matching swaddle. Dad can also have a more casual look for this session (which they LOVE! Haha!) with a plain henley shirt or a button-down with khakis.
Less is really more for these sessions! They are about capturing the beauty of the natural magical first moments with your new little one. There is less pressure for everyone to look “perfect” (although I still make sure everyone is looking their very best) and more emphasis on celebrating the arrival of your new little one and soaking in these sweet moments.
Need help finding something to wear? All of my Burlington Newborn Photography sessions include a Styling Consultation with me where I personally style and prepare coordinating wardrobes for you to choose from. Having a baby is. a lot of work, so I have made it my mission to make things run as seamlessly as possible.

When to book your Burlington Newborn Photographer
I’d love to capture your family’s first moments together for a Newborn portrait session. I recommend that you book your Newborn session during the 2nd trimester of your pregnancy to make sure we can reserve your session on my calendar.
What date do I use to schedule my Newborn session? Newborn sessions are tentatively reserved for your due date or on your scheduled induction/c-section date. Then after baby is born we will choose a date 2-3 weeks after birth to schedule your Newborn session.
To maintain my exclusivity as a Burlington Newborn Photographer, I typically only accept 2-3 Newborn sessions a month. So I recommend reaching out as soon as possible to make sure we can reserve your session. Sometimes I am able to accommodate last-minute Newborn sessions (because newborns can be unpredictable). So if you are wanting to have a newborn session for your new little family, be sure to reach out ASAP so I can squeeze you in!
